Abstract

The Indian retail sector has undergone a major transformation over the last two decades, evolving from traditional markets to organized and digital formats. Economic liberalization, urbanization, rising income levels, and digitalization have collectively driven this growth. However, the sector also faces multifaceted challenges such as supply chain inefficiencies, competition from e-commerce, regulatory complexities, and changing consumer preferences.
