The rapid progression of health informatics has revolutionized the landscape of health care delivery thereby
requiring nurses to be full stakeholders in all levels of care settings. BackgroundThis review describes the changing
roles of nursing technicians and nursing specialists in incorporating health informatics into clinical practice. For
example, nursing technicians are now more involved in using electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth services,
and collecting data to improve monitoring from care providers. Within the nursing specialism, informatics is used at
a much more advanced level, for example in developing evidence based decision-making tools; and building digital
care pathways and contributing to multidisciplinary health information management projects. This review
postulates the way in which roles collaborate to increase patient safety, improve workflow efficiency and promote
patient centered care from 2010 until 2025. Key factors identified included a need for more formalised informatics
training, well defined role boundaries and policy that provides clear pathways for nursing roles to be enacted in the
digital health space. Interprofessional collaboration should be expanded, artificial intelligence tools should be
integrated, and nursing informatics competencies across all levels available at the point of care to address
burgeoning modern health-care needs.

The present study examines the social and cultural transformation of rural communities at the rural–urban interface in Mahendragarh District, Haryana, under the growing influence of urbanisation. The research aimed to analyse how urban proximity reshapes family structures, gender roles, community relations, and cultural practices in rural settings. A multi-stage sampling method was adopted, covering 15 villages across five Community Development Blocks, with 75 household respondents selected for detailed surveys. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires and personal interviews. The findings reveal that urbanisation has significantly altered the socio-cultural fabric of rural Mahendragarh. Nearly two-thirds of respondents reported a shift from joint to nuclear families, increased women’s participation in education and employment, and greater decision-making power within households. Traditional caste-based occupations and community bonding have weakened, while exposure to media, technology, and urban lifestyles has increased aspirations and changed consumption patterns. Although respondents viewed urbanisation as largely positive, particularly in improving education, employment, and infrastructure, they also expressed concern over cultural erosion, rising social disparities, and loss of traditional values.

Groundwater depletion has emerged as a critical environmental and socio-economic challenge in the semi-arid
regions of Haryana, where agriculture is heavily dependent on underground water resources. Present study
examines farmers' awareness, participation, and perceptions, alongside the roles and coordination of
government institutions in groundwater management. Primary data were collected from 100 respondents across
20 villages through structured interviews, supported by secondary data from official reports. The results reveal
that although awareness of groundwater depletion is moderate, knowledge of government schemes such as Atal
Bhujal Yojana and PMKSY remains limited. Panchayats play a visible role, but institutional coordination and
monitoring are weak.
