Abstract

India's composite culture is a blend of religious, linguistic, & artistic traditions, promoting tolerance & unity through shared ideas. Bhakti & Sufi movements shaped India's composite culture by promoting tolerance, equality, and devotion through local languages. Islam came into India from the Malabar Coast in south since 3-4th century and was instrumental in evolution of the composite Indian culture. The evolution of Hinduism and Buddhism has been shaped by a multitude of movements, such as the Bhakti and Sufi movements. The people belonging to other cultures brought their cultural habits, thoughts and ideas, which got amalgamated into the existing culture. The evolution of a composite culture reached its zenith during the independence movement, which found its expression in the Constitution.
