This paper investigates the complex interplay between the collapse of tradition and the search for meaning in the poetry of T. S. Eliot, one of the most influential figures of literary modernism. Eliot’s work emerges at a historical moment marked by disillusionment, secularization, and cultural fragmentation, conditions that destabilized long standing cultural, religious, and literary frameworks.
