This paper examines the extensive consequences of deforestation on various aspects of biodiversity, encompassing ecosystems, species diversity, and genetic diversity. The loss of forest habitats leads to fragmentation and isolation of ecosystems, disrupting ecological balance and diminishing resilience to environmental changes. Species diversity suffers greatly as many flora and fauna depend on forests for survival, resulting in population declines and increased risk of extinction.
