The Role of Biometrics in Internet Security

Abstract

As the Internet of Things (IoT) continues to evolve, internet security challenges increase significantly. The traditional methods of authentication such as passwords and PINs have demonstrated vulnerability and present potential risks for users. This paper highlights the critical role of biometric technology in enhancing internet security. By leveraging unique and inherent biometric features, including fingerprint patterns, iris recognition, facial features, and voice recognition, biometrics offers a more secure, convenient, and efficient form of user authentication.
